What is Melamine?
Melamine Panels are a high-quality Particleboard or MDF, but with a coloured Melamine surface bonded to both sides, giving the product a sleek and pre-finished look. Melamine boards stand out with their clean, hardwearing surface, which makes it suitable for a number of different purposes.
Plyco's extensive Melamine Sheet range includes: White Melamine Particle Board, White Melamine Drilled/Undrilled, White Melamine MDF Satin (High Moisture Resistant), White Melamine Backing, White Melamine MDF, Black Melamine Particle Board and Melamine Edging.


Melamine Sheet Applications
Melamine is perfect for internal cabinetry, draws and shelving. Because Melamine is either Particleboard or MDF with a Melamine surface bonded to it, it is able to be used in a multitude of applications.
The moisture resistant variety can be used in high moisture areas such as kitchens, laundries and bathrooms, while the Standard variety can be used in applications like book cases or even for shop fitting.

MDF Applications
Standard MDF is primarily used for interior work, while Moisture Resistant MDF can be used for some exterior applications as well as in moisture prone areas like kitchens, laundries and bathrooms.
MDF is able to be easily painted, cut, machined and cleanly drilled without splintering or chipping. These qualities mean MDF is great for applications like shop fitting or cabinet making.
